in the 50's for detroit. warning of a bit more in chicago, 68 degrees. plenty of warm up and down the east coast. new york and boston both looking at 70 degrees. here are the clouds moving in from the west. well to the west of us, we have some showers. these showers are expected to meet up with the drier air across the mid-atlantic. that will move across our area later tonight and early tomorrow morning. here is our future cast moving through the next 48 hours. highs will be around 80 degrees. the clouds increase later on tonight. the showers really fizzle out. saturday, comfortable temperatures, a 70-80, and clear for the day on sunday. partly cloudy and comfortable today, 78-83 for the daytime high. tonight, the concert looks dry. temperatures 56-64. the extended outlook shows our temperatures will remain comfortable. sunday and monday, better chance for widespread showers, even some heavier rain as we move into monday night and tuesday. we have a very interesting blog just posted on wjla.com talking about how much rain we could see. some areas may see over an inch or two. >> they need i

of los angeles. also in philadelphia, detroit. they are all coming in with their own sense of, "my goal is 5000 jobs." i bet we can still get more mares to jump on board. so we are not done. we still have more to do. the fact that we can set this up through the department of labor, our own internet, and put this up and create a job bank, where we can interchange and work with our partners to make sure that employers can list the jobs and that young people can go on very easily and get more information. the point is that we need to have some structure for young people. young people right now and need this. our communities need it. we are able to do it, and we should be doing it. the president is strongly behind this effort. while we know we still need to do more, we need to talk about expanding programs year round for youth, for dislocated workers, and for our veterans. we have a lot of veterans coming home who are between the ages of 18 and 24. the qualify for these programs. some of them will come back with some challenging effects. they are going to need a lot of encouragement. i hope

. look at all the rain down in texas, up into kansas, missouri, stretching now over toward detroit. went through chicago. kept them a lot cooler here. behind the front, we've got the cool weather. ahead of it the warm weather where we are today. even though the front is going to come through and will cool us down a little bit over the weekend, it's not going to cool us down a lot as much as the areas well to the north of us, like up near the canadian border. here's our futurecast. nice and sunny. a mix of clouds and sunshine today. maybe a shower down toward norfolk. we get toward this evening, going toward pittsburgh for the weekend, you may run into some showers here by dinner time there. we should be dry. now tonight, that front is going to come across but just not a lot of moisture to work with. other than a stray shower, we'll see the front crossing the region by early tomorrow morning. it will be well south and east of us by dinner time on saturday. look at this. partly to mostly sunny again. as we get into sunday, we should be all right in the morning. but a few clouds are going t

, but if you watch the transition of the showers from detroit through cleveland into pittsburgh as we go through the last 12 hours or so, you'll see that the bottom end of the showers are falling apart and china. a manager with the system is father to the north, and that is where the more substantial rain will be. the farther south you go, we are really talking just a passing brief shower or a sprinkle late tonight. temperatures ranging from 55 to 65. those warmer numbers in downtown baltimore. the wins will be shifting as the front goes through. out of the south, ahead of the front for a good part of the night. again, just isolated showers or really sprinkles overnight as the front is making its way through. the front itself sitting just to our west now. you can see the clouds are mostly on the western side of the front. access to the front and the cooler air. 59 in cleveland. 80 in baltimore. pretty good temperature contrast. we will get into that fall-like air late tonight and tomorrow, and it will stick around for most of the weekend. southern and might get active and come at us, but

fundamentalist group that wants to detroit frdoms we believe in, not to mention our best ally in the entire region, israel. and israel's the only place over there that we can count on if everything goes wrong. and so our state department and the administration and previous administrations have made these kinds of mistakes and we have been strangely, strangely, strangely silent. so i just like to end up by saying to my colleagues we should profit from our past mistakes. we should make sure that we don't try to nation build. we can't make the world over in our image. it's not possible. we have to work with unsavory leaders sometimes, people that we don't like, that we don't think are good people because of stability in the region and because of america's interest. our interests ought to be number one. the protection of our country ought to be number one. the protection of our soldiers and the people who go to war and the people of this country ought to be number one. and of secondary importance are the lives of these people in these countries that are radical. . that ought to be our number on
